Within the complex of urban operations that the office of Norman Foster,
in conjunction with the French landscape architect Michel Desvigne, is
developing along the seawalk of Marseille are the pavilions for a
nautical club and spaces for events surrounding the city’s being
European Capital of Culture in 2013, a title shared with Kosice in
Slovakia. A slender pavilion of stainless steel minimizes its forms to
reduce its visual impact on the Old Port of Marseille, a World Heritage
Site. Like a mirror, the polished surface of the fine roof –46 x 42
meters– reflects the image of people passing under the structure, held
up by eight thin columns to create a new public space.

Amaitu berri da Fosterren pabilioi hau, Marseilako portuan dagoena. Portu inguruan espazio estali bat eskaintzen du, erabilera ezberdinak jaso ditzakeena, baina berezi egiteko erabili den ezaugarria islapenarena da. Ez dakit zer egingo den estalki horren pean baina ziur, guztiok argazki kamera gorantz bideratu eta geure buruari argazkia aterako diogula, inoiz ispilu bat ikusi izan ez bagenu bezala...
